Litmus launches training to better understand insurer numbers
Litmus Anlaysis, the specialist advisory firm that helps explain the mysteries of credit ratings and insurance company accounts, is holding its first dedicated training session next Thursday in London designed to help users of insurance and reinsurance companies better understand how the numbers work.
Stuart Shipperlee
The London-based firm was launched last January by veteran credit rating expert Peter Hughes, formerly of Standard & Poor’s.
Mr Hughes was subsequently joined by Stuart Shipperlee, a former analyst with AM Best and S&P, and the firm also now has ex-S&P analyst Rowena Potter on its books.
The timing of the launch of the new firm could not have been better as reinsurance and insurance buyers and brokers will increasingly find themselves quizzed about the strength and reliability of the carriers they select as margins tighten.
